Paramus, NJ – Castle Press of Pasadena, Calif., took top honors in NAPL's Second Annual Marketing Plus Awards competition for graphic communications companies by winning 11 awards, including four Gold and four Silver Awards, in a wide range of marketing disciplines. The awards will be presented at the NAPL Marketing Plus Awards luncheon on Feb. 15 at NAPL's 2010 Top Management Conference in Marco Island, Fla.
The 2010 Marketing Plus Awards program, sponsored by Xerox, honored 19 graphic communications companies for marketing excellence in 12 marketing categories, ranging from Corporate Identity and Direct Mail to Sales/Lead Generation and Website Presence. In total, this year's competitors garnered 52 awards--15 Gold Awards, 24 Silver Awards, and 13 Merit Awards, more than twice the 24 awards presented in the program's inaugural competition last year.
"As with NAPL's Management Plus and Customer Plus awards, the Marketing Plus program does not judge printing craftsmanship-although there were many splendid examples of superior printing in the entries," said NAPL President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph P. Truncale. "Instead, Marketing Plus recognizes those companies that have demonstrated their ability to realize the full potential of marketing in all its forms as a key driver of their clients' success and their own growth. NAPL is proud to honor their achievement."
In addition to Castle Press, multiple award winners included Allen Press, Inc., Lawrence, Kan.; Alpha Graphics, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Graphic Visual Solutions, Greensboro, S.C.; Great Lakes Integrated, Cleveland, Ohio; The Messenger Press, Carthagena, Ohio; Pazazz Printing, Montreal, Quebec; Printing for Less, Livingston, Mont.; Print Three Franchising Corporation, Concord, Ontario; Think Patented, Dayton, Ohio; and Square One, Mount Laurel, N.J.;
"We were privileged to have so many excellent entries this year in extremely diverse marketing categories, both print and electronic," said NAPL Senior Vice President/Marketing Cindy Woods. "The increased interest in our marketing recognition program is indicative of the greater role it is playing in our industry, and NAPL is happy to support that growth through these awards."
NAPL Marketing Plus Awards are selected on the basis of points gained via an objective scoring measurement that takes into account both the individual end product or campaign and its success in meeting stated goals.
