VippPlus Module Added To HostServe Options

Press release from the issuing company

San Juan Capistrano, CA., September 7, 2003 -- American PrintWare, Inc. announced another key conversion module to its HostServe suite of capabilities. For users who process and output variable data from a variety of sources, including the web and XML data sets, APWI's VippPlus provides yet another tool for optimizing production output anywhere it is required. VippPlus offers all major Vipp conversion requirements, and adds key features to optimize data management and output throughout an enterprise. Already installed at several locations and field-proven at a regional hospital, VippPlus drives 300 printers from a fail-safe dual server/dual processor configuration where tens of thousands of sensitive and critical documents are processed, printed, displayed and data-streamed back and forth 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Managing VIPP (Variable Data Intelligent PostScript PrintWare) data streams for browsing, printing, emailing and trafficking along the network is done with APWI's VippPlus module. VippPlus converts Xerox VIPP files into PCL, PS, PDF, Tiff, line printer, database, or XML and indexes the data as required by the user application. VippPlus' enriched processing capabilities ensure reliability and data integrity no matter what the data output -- print, distribute, load onto the web, fax or email with total confidence. All resources-PostScript, PCL, DJDE, 4235, XES, fonts graphics, forms-are taken in to VippPlus. It also takes in FSL and any Windows based form and Windows True Type Fonts, Tiff forms and graphics. Many other resources can be imported to VippPlus. Conversion of DJDE and Line Printer jobs provides a convenient transition from DJDE into VIPP processing and output. Added commands include addressing documents directly to recipients and printer definition tables so that finishing options can be entered once and they will be correct for the selected printer.
