Press release from the issuing company
Last November, GBMP and its consortium of Lean partners collaborated to present a ½ day workshop in Manchester NH called "The Foundation of Lean: Creating Stability for your Lean Implementation with 5S and Visual Control Systems". Theoverwhelming success of the event spurred the consortium to decide to take the show on the road to help companies with their Lean implementations in various parts of the Northeast region.
The consortium is thrilled to announce the next presentation of "The Foundation of Lean" on Tuesday, March 2, at the Sheraton Providence Airport Hotel, in Warwick RI, from 8:00AM to 1:00PM.
Pat Wardwell, COO of GBMP and Shingo Prize Recipient, presents the topics in a concise and motivational way. Attendees will leave the event excited to begin or accelerate their efforts. Attendees can expect to learn how stability and visual standardization is achieved using 5S Workplace Organization, the 5S Approach to transform, support and sustain your Lean program and goals, and how to implement and utilize Visual Control Systems for at-a-glance workflow monitoring and management.
The workshop is brought to the public by GBMP, Bosch Rexroth, Visual Workplace, The 5S Store and Airline Hydraulics, a consortium of like-minded organizations that provide lean education, networking and resources to support enterprise-wide Continuous Improvement implementation and sustainment.
As an additional bonus, the March event will include lunch and networking plus a one hour discussion of the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence. What is it? Who should challenge? Why? Plus all attendees will have a chance to win one of the following items: a mobile In-House Sign Shop from Visual Workplace (retail value $2,695), the complete GBMP Lean Training DVD library plus a free operational assessment (a $4,826 value) and a Lean Toolkit from Bosch Rexroth and Airline Hydraulics.
