The Institute for Graphics and Imaging (IGI) - an education and training organization funded by and dedicated to the printing and graphic arts industry - has announced a one day, hands-on GRACoL G7 Workshop on Tuesday, December 15, 2009. See real time application of G7 principles involved in setting up a press to match GRACoL 7. This workshop will consist of actual press runs, one with linear plates, and then the second run with the plate curves applied to reach the G7 cond ition.
This workshop will be conducted by David Hunter, who has implemented GRACoL using the G7 calibration process at over 100 printing companies in North America including sheetfed, offset, screen, flexo, and all forms of digital presses. Pilot Marketing Group is a national organization formed in 1994 and specializes in helping dealers and their end-users incorporate ICC (ColorSync) Color Control and Digital Asset Management into their environment by conducting high-end color seminars and training sessions. David Hunter is a part of this organization, and he has been involved in the graphic arts industry for more than 25 years. Earlier in his career has was responsible for the Graphic Arts segment of business for Aldus Corporation, the inventors of Desktop Publishing.
The Institute for Graphics and Imaging provides education and training in the graphic design, printing, and related industries.
