Agfa Graphics announces new solutions to improve newspaper production

Agfa Graphics has announced today a number of innovative solutions during IFRA Expo 2009 in Vienna, to help streamline the newspaper prepress processes. Agfa is drawing on its substantial world wide customer experience to enhance its product portfolio so that a larger variety of demands can be met.

Trolley loading on :Advantage N
The :Advantage N-TR is a new model in the successful :Advantage N series with a trolley tray loading system. The trolley allows for safe off-site loading of plates in safety light and easy transportation to the platesetter.

Speed increase on automated :Advantage N
Also on :Advantage N, Agfa Graphics demonstrates a high speed option for higher productivity of plates.

:Arkitex Portal
The latest addition to the family, :Arkitex Portal, provides tighter integration between the printer and their customers. Not only does portal allow for easy page submission, soft proofing, and approval of pages, Portal also allow the printer to provide value-added services without increasing their labour costs.

New versions of :Arkitex IntelliTune and :Arkitex Opti-Iink
With Adaptive Contrast Enhancement (ACE) added to the successful :Arkitex IntelliTune, automatic image processing is taken to another level. Based on content recognition techniques it can solve global and local image quality issues, generating consistent quality for use in newspapers.
Also the new version of :Arkitex OptiInk is demonstrated on the booth focussed on increasing printing quality while reducing costs using intelligent source recognition for most efficient ink use on plate.

Enhanced service capabilities with IntelliSyst Plus
Agfa Graphics focuses on business continuity with a series of new services. Based on the integration of new :Arkitex features and Agfa's enterprise remote support infrastructure, :IntelliSyst Plus enhances service capabilities even further.
