Press release from the issuing company
LONDON & NEW YORK -- Vio Worldwide and ICS have extended their long term OEM partnership to deliver browser based Certified Soft Proofing (CSP) and calibration that simplifies and streamlines the previous Vio Certified Soft Proofing2 (VCSP2) workflow, opening up increased levels of quality assurance to all ad senders.
Four years ago, Vio changed the pre-media landscape by enabling advertisers to confidently deliver color display advertising directly to publishers by using Vio Certified Soft Proofing. That software has now been completely redeveloped and is being offered as part of the AdSEND browser application.
With Certified Soft Proofing part of AdSEND, publishers now have the ability to either mandate a soft proof or offer it as an option by publication or even by advertising type. This now means that they can provide a value added service to improve quality assurance on any advertising type across their portfolio.
In conjunction with the new software launch, Vio is delighted to now offer Certified Soft Proofing to the Guardian and Observer newspapers in the UK, which are available immediately. The new titles will join existing VCSP publications from Associated Newspapers, Mirror Group, Telegraph Media Group and News International.
In North America, Vio plans to roll-out Certified Soft Proofing during Q4 2009. Chris Friend, Managing Director of Vio Worldwide, said, "We are absolutely delighted with this latest innovation in AdSEND and have worked hard with ICS to deliver the world's first 100% browser-based integrated calibration and proofing solution. This is a quantum leap forward in accessibility and usability for our customers, and opens up high end soft proofing to everyone. We looked at several soft proofing technologies for the AdSEND integration, and were reassured that ICS was still the best technology provider for our needs."
"Vio approached us with a challenge to move their solution - including the calibration itself - to the browser," said Vicki Blake, VP Business Development at ICS. "As our oldest and strongest European OEM partner, we collaborated with them to specify and produce this, and their proposal offered an exceptional opportunity for our joint customers. As a result, we have delivered software development kits (SDK's) with outstanding color calibration and full proofing, without the need to install any client application locally. With this built into the AdSEND workflow, the result is a solution with genuine benefit to publishers and advertisers with which we are proud to be associated."
