Screen (USA) results at Print '09 surpass expectations

Press release from the issuing company

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. -- Decision makers journeyed to Chicago to do business at Print '09, and business in the Screen (USA) booth was nonstop. For the Rolling Meadows, Ill.-based company, that translated into more than $35 million in sales across the portfolio of Screen digital printing systems and prepress solutions.

"Our traffic for leads was as heavy as at any trade show in which we have participated," said Robert Prah, vice president of sales. "The total commitments at Print '09 exceeded our overall sales goals. The people we met with on the show floor were serious about buying, as opposed to just making the rounds. We secured many orders on the digital printing side and the platesetter side in North America and South America."

Screen organized its technology demonstrations and product introductions around the theme of "Opening Doors to Opportunity."

"We wanted to give Print '09 attendees exactly what they wanted: new markets to explore, new revenue streams and proven solutions," Prah said.

To that end, the Screen exhibition area boasted the largest selection of Truepress digital printing systems the company has ever assembled for a U.S. show, with more introductions of new equipment and software for print production, like the moderately priced Truepress Jet1600UV-F flatbed inkjet printer and the newly developed Trueflow SE ver. 7.0 workflow management system.

"The Truepress series is gaining popularity within many segments of the printing industry because the various models are suited to such a wide range of printing applications," Prah said. "Our customers recognize quality and flexibility."
