Univenture Named BIA Product of Excellence Award Winner
Press release from the issuing company
Marysville, OH -- Univenture is pleased to announce it has won a BIA Product of Excellence award in the “They Said it Couldn’t Be Done” category for custom loose-leaf manufacturing. The Binding Industries Association (BIA) is a special interest group available to companies engaged in the binding and manufacture of loose-leaf and graphic communication products.
The annual Product of Excellence Awards was established to recognize outstanding examples of craftsmanship. The “They Said it Couldn’t Be Done” category recognizes custom loose-leaf manufacturers who delivered the job against almost impossible odds. The digitally printed binder for AlgaeVenture Systems was the champion in this category for Univenture.
"We are honored to win a Product of Excellence Award,” said Ross Youngs, CEO of Univenture. “Our creative products and variety of printing capabilities have allowed us to win various awards for our custom packaging and printing.”
The awarded piece took advantage of the new digital print service Univenture offers on their patented UniKeep™ case binders. The digital design was used to promote AlgaeVenture Systems, a Univenture, Inc. company.
Univenture also won a second place Award of Recognition for its Givaudan Pure Delivery mini binder. This category is judged on the unusual and creative design of loose-leaf products, as well as new techniques and approaches.
“We were working on a project that needed a high quality and functional case for durability and ease of use for our customers,” said Jeff Peppet, of Givaudan Flavors Corporation. “With our importance in creating unique and creative products, it was wonderful to collaborate with Univenture to find new and innovative ways to package our products.”
The competition is judged by a team of distinguished professionals from around the world, chosen for their extensive knowledge and years of experience producing loose-leaf products and finished printed goods.
An awards reception will take place for the winners on May 5 in Las Vegas.
Univenture’s AlgaeVenture Systems binder will be on display along with the other first place winners. All winners will be listed in a special section of BIA’s official publication, The Binding Edge, and on www.bindingawards.com with a link to the company Web site.
