Smith Print Earns Chain of Custody Certifications from FSC, SFI and PEFC

Continuing to build on its reputation as a proponent of environmental responsibility, The Smith Print, Inc., of Norwell, MA, has successfully earned certifications from the world's three leading forest management programs: the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). FSC, SFI and PEFC are non-profit, non-governmental organizations recognized globally for promoting responsible forest management. By earning all three certifications, Smith Print customers can now choose from the widest group of forest-certified paper suppliers and make educated, environmentally focused decisions about the paper products they choose.

Earning the certifications demonstrates Smith Print's completion of staff training and compliance to regulations, including the ability to certify Chain of Custody for paper products. Chain of Custody tracks wood through the supply chain, from a certified forest through the end-user of the certified product.
