The PZ Pilot Pro utilizes the Omnidot® 380 engine manufactured by Xaar® Corporation.  The engine offers superior print quality, a large droplet size, and the durability required of industrial applications.  In addition, PZ Pilot Pro uses Xaar-approved inks specifically designed to run in the Omnidot 380 engine.

With up to 2.1” of print height per head, the PZ Pilot Pro exceeds the 2.0” GS1 specification for case code printing, without the additional cost of a larger print engine.  Larger print engines, such as a 2.5” or 2.8” engine cost more to begin with, cost more to replace, and utilize significantly more ink.  Squid Ink’s PZ Pilot Pro offers the right-size print engine for the application.

The PZ Pilot Pro is designed with several low maintenance features that users have come to rely on from Squid Ink.  PZ Pilot Pro features ATM-simple, easy to follow user prompts to program, save, and store messages.  In addition, the built-in software automatically calculates ink usage for each message so you can modify your messages and control your consumable costs as needed.  The system also comes with auto configuration software that is written to simplify setup of printing.  The system can automatically calculate product speed, making printing on your products easier while providing consistent print quality.
