STAMFORD, Conn. -- Cenveo, Inc. Robert G. Burton, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer announced the continuation of the scholarship program for the children of Cenveo employees that will be entirely funded by the senior management team and the Company's Board of Directors.
Robert G. Burton, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer stated:
"Last year we announced the creation of a scholarship program for the children of the employees of Cenveo, funded entirely by the senior management team. I am proud to report that we were able to award 51 scholarships to the deserving children of our talented employees, providing college funding to the maximum allowable percentage of those who applied as per IRS guidelines. These students were selected by looking at a range of important accomplishments such as educational success, community service, athletic team and club participation, as well as other related criteria."
Mr. Burton concluded:
"As we enter the second year of the program, I strongly encourage all of our employees with college age children to have them take advantage of this opportunity and apply to this year's scholarship program. In this day and age, I can think of no better investment than in our children's future. I have personally pledged $1,000,000 to support this program to demonstrate my personal commitment to this initiative. I share our management team's belief that developing and supporting programs which benefit our children's education will create a better future for us all through our children's intellectual growth and their future contributions to society."
