Xplor Event Successful, Despite Lower Attendance

Press release from the issuing company

Lutz, FL -- Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, reported that despite the economic conditions, the conference organizers are pleased with the results of their first "stand alone" event in six years, held March 4-7, 2009, in Tampa Bay, Florida.

"Conference registration and exhibit participation did not quite meet our expectations," stated Xplor president and CEO, Skip Henk. "Considering the world's economy, the impact it is having on other venues and in particular industries, I feel we faired well in tough times thanks to the strength of the Xplor brand, the support of our members, our vendor partners and sponsors."

With many companies imposing travel restrictions, especially in the financial services and insurance industries, people attended Xplor's Global Conference and Exhibition from around the world. Attendees outside of the U.S. included those from Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

The 2009 program featured seven educational tracks focused on "Trends in Customer Communications" that presented trends and best practices that have successfully driven revenue and reduced cost at leading companies.

In addition to the educational conference sessions, the event also featured an exhibit with over 30 vendors participating. "We had a great 2009 Xplor conference and we plan on attending and exhibiting next year," stated   Terry Wieczorek President/CEO, DocuLynx, Inc. "The exposition pavilion was tastefully arranged and without the larger booths dominating the floor found in other venues. We are looking forward to participating in a bigger, better Xplor conference in 2010. "

Networking was also a focus of the event, with nightly scheduled events: "This was XPLOR!," said Roger Chamberlain, Administrative Services Manager, Cincinnati Financial Corporation. "Networking significantly increased and I had great one-on-one's and small group conversations with vendors and attendees alike."
