Kendall Packaging Invests in PECAS Vision from Radius
Press release from the issuing company
CHICAGO -- Radius Solutions Ltd., the leading integrated business information management system provider for the Packaging and Printing industry, announced that Kendall Packaging is implementing its PECAS Vision ERP package to integrate operations across all of its facilities.
Kendall Packaging is a leading provider of flexible packaging solutions. The company is independently owned and serves a variety of consumer companies in North America, especially in the areas of personal care, cheese, pasta, confectionery, and baking. Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the organization has production facilities in Jefferson, Wisconsin and Pittsburg, Kansas.
Kendall Packaging strives to provide high quality packaging and exceptional service at competitive prices. The company consistently invests in technology to help provide the latest packaging capabilities with excellent print quality, shorter lead times, and on time delivery to customers. Kendall Packaging's management team saw an opportunity to replace an outdated MIS system with a new state-of-the-art software package.
The organization underwent a rigorous five month evaluation process. Ten companies were considered before six were selected for product demonstrations. Two finalists were chosen for reference visits before Radius Solutions was selected. "We were very comfortable with Radius Solutions. We felt that they understood our business, had a very detailed implementation plan and were a sizeable and financially sound organization. We were also confident that their system would fit our needs right out of the box," said Mike Sallmann, CFO of Kendall Packaging
The company is implementing the entire PECAS Vision suite including Estimating, Order Management, Scheduling, Costing, Production Management, Shop Floor Data Collection, Customer Relationship Management, Materials Movement, Quality Management and Reporting.
Kendall Packaging expects the new system to be implemented quickly and provide fast return on investment through the integration of disparate systems, which will eliminate manual record keeping, and remove the need for maintaining separate spreadsheets and databases to gain access to critical business information. The new system will also enable them to quickly compare cost estimates against actual costs.
"We feel the PECAS Vision system will help us enhance customer service, eliminate manual record keeping and improve our estimating and scheduling processes. In short, it will provide the foundation for significant business growth without the need to add a lot more people," said Mr. Sallmann.
