Paul Willems now Managing Director at GMG

Press release from the issuing company

Tuebingen - GMG, developer and supplier of high-end color management and proofing solutions, is pleased to announce that Paul Willems (45) has been appointed as a Managing Director of GMG GmbH & Co. KG with immediate effect. The two Managing Partners, Joerg Weihing and Robert Weihing, have recruited the native Belgian to specifically strengthen the management of the rapidly growing, owner-operated company, and are in this way creating the conditions for continuing successful development of GMG. Mr. Willems has 20 years of international management experience, both at well-known companies in the graphic arts industry and at the world's leading management consultants, McKinsey & Company.

His professional career most recently took him to Punch Graphix, where he held the executive position of Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer, and to NexPress GmbH, a subsidiary of Kodak, as General Manager for Europe, Africa and Middle East. Prior to that, Paul Willems spent several years in various management positions in the Digital Printing Division of Agfa-Gevaert, and at Linotype-Hell. He worked at McKinsey & Company consultants for a total of five years.

"Mr. Willems has an impressive track record thanks to his detailed knowledge of the industry and his years of international management experience. In Mr. Willems, we have taken on board a success-oriented, assertive management personality, who will be of great help to GMG in expanding its market position," says Robert Weihing, Managing Director of GMG GmbH & Co. KG.

"I see it as a personal challenge to tackle the ambitious corporate goals that GMG has set itself, despite these fairly subdued economic times," says Paul Willems. "GMG is a medium-sized business with a very well-known name, enormous potential for growth, and ground-breaking technological know-how that has already established an excellent position for itself on the international market. Consequently, I see the further expansion of our market presence as one of my most important tasks, and certainly one of the most interesting."
