DD3 Piranhas Win International Gold Awards

Press release from the issuing company

Lyndhurst, New Jersey -- The International Association of Printing House Craftsmen (IAPHC) has awarded Digital Dimensions3 (DD3), a New Jersey based marketing technology provider, two (2) Gold Awards in their 34th Annual Gallery of Exceptional Printing Competition.

The DD3 entries were selected from hundreds of entries submitted by top printing firms from all over the world in categories as diverse as advertising to stationery. The Judges, composed of industry experts selected digitally printed and personalized products from Digital Dimensions3 (DD3) in the Business to Business and New Business Development categories as the overall best in those categories.

The winning entries, both feature stunning variations of DD3‘s personalized and die-cut Piranha fish dominated the digital division of this internationally recognized contest.

The Gold entry in the Digital Business to Business Category, titled “Join Us For A Bite” featured 9 hungry Piranhas in a clear plastic envelope (see attachment A) which was mailed to decision makers for a professional trainer.

“In spite of current jitters about the economy, the piece helped generate an astounding 90% response rate with prospects actually getting on the telephone with the client,” stated Harvey Hirsch, president of Digital Dimensions3.

“In today’s oversaturated direct mail marketing environment where the national average response rate is a dismal ½ of 1%, you have nano-seconds to stand out of a stack of mail and get opened,” added Hirsch. “What we have discovered is not only must you stand out, you must get the prospect emotionally involved in your message. When you can imbed your message with humor, the message gets to the frontal cortex where it helps the person make decisions” Hirsch explained.

The second winning entry in the Dimensional Printing category again used the Piranha as a theme but this time used a hand assembled and personalized box, which when opened revealed a school of hungry Piranha in an underwater scene. Titled “Are Hidden Bank Fees Eating You Alive?” the program generated another astounding response rate for a local bank.

Although digital printing and personalization has been actively employed for over 10 years, the ability to personalize 3-dimensional products on-demand has been the exclusive domain of DD3 since licensing this technology from its inventor and patent holder, Harvey Hirsch.

Hirsch, who is also this years’ President of the NJ Chapter of the Printing Craftsmen’s Club, is an industry thought leader and was a featured Keynote speaker at several personalization conferences. He has had many of his provocative articles picked up in popular industry publications such as WhatTheyThink.com and Printing News.
