Heidelberg Sets Its Sights on the Packaging Market
Press release from the issuing company
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) will be exhibiting at FachPack in Nuremberg from September 29 through October 1, 2009, thereby underlining its objective of further strengthening its position in the packaging segment. Heidelberg will be using the trade show to showcase solutions for integrated sheetfed offset packaging and flexible, variable printing of packaging and labels using inkjet systems. Its slogan for the event is: "Integrated packaging solutions - think economically, print ecologically". The company's presentation is aimed at packaging printers and manufacturers, manufacturers of branded goods, and bottling plants.
The Prinect Packaging Workflow integrates the subprocesses and machines used by packaging printers in a transparent end-to-end process, thereby offering customers the chance to optimize packaging production while also factoring sustainability into the equation. In the production section, the Prinect Packaging Workflow enables the job status and the resources used to be called up at any time. Production times and downtimes are recorded automatically for each job. Inside-out knowledge of production data is essential for anyone wishing to optimize processes and boost efficiency - and Prinect delivers all the key information required.
Packaging with variable print details, flexible batch sizes, and short-term promotions, on the other hand, are the specialty of Linoprint - a Heidelberg innovation project. Linoprint is exhibiting its 'FixedLine' integration solutions for high-quality printing at FachPack. The drop-on-demand inkjet systems can be integrated into new or existing production and packaging lines and can help produce even the smallest of batch sizes exactly as required without paper waste.
"Printing both ecologically and economically is by no means impossible in the packaging sector," insists Dr. Jürgen Rautert, Management Board Member responsible for Markets at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. "We offer our customers integrated packaging solutions that include both customized consultancy and production-related advice on issues such as energy management and using the right consumables," he continues.
Heidelberg is presenting its packaging solutions at Stand 4-229 in Hall 4 as part of the FachPack special show "Sustainable Production and Packing".
