Oce-Nederland and Markzware Europe announce cooperation in online preflighting
Press release from the issuing company
Gorinchem - The Netherlands, 15 February 2007 - Oce-Nederland B.V. and Markzware Europe B.V. are today announcing an cooperation, in the area of online preflighting software which checks digital files for defects and inaccuracies. Such problems can cause blockages in the digital printing process, with all the associated disadvantages in terms of production, margin, efficiency, etc. Many graphics companies experience these sorts of problems on a daily basis, given that 70% of all PDF´s or other printable file formats contain defects.
With the aid of SafetyNet from Océ and Markzware such defects become a thing of the past, because the digital file is checked for problems before being sent from the customer to the graphics media company (Printer, publisher or advertising studio, for example.). In this way the graphics company receives only good files, which meet the conditions required, thus generating a streamlined production process without delays. SafetyNet is based on Markzware´s powerful and patented FlightCheck Online. It offers a pro-active and secure online system for preflighting, collecting and delivering digital files.
Naturally, this online file check has no impact on the customer-friendliness of the graphics company, because the customer is led through the online preflighting process via a simple user interface. This is done on the basis of a digital order form, which is completed directly by the customer. The user interface of SafetyNet can be fully adapted and coordinated per customer or customer group, meaning that the graphics company itself can define what job requirements the files to be supplied must meet.
Along with the advantages in terms of productivity and user-friendliness, SafetyNet is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so that customers can send orders to the graphics company at any time, day or night in a secure fashion.
SafetyNet is being continuously demonstrated at the Océ stand (number 231) during the Gorinchem Graphics Trade Fair in The Netherlands. You can also try it for yourself via http://www.your-safetynet.eu which provides a full example site.
