NPES Meetings Spotlight How To Recover And Succeed In Current Economic Conditions

Reston, VA- NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies is offering a series of Regional Meetings in Ohio, Illinois, New Jersey and Massachusetts during the month of June. Aptly themed "On the Road to Recovery," the NPES 2009 Regional Meetings aim to deliver the most up-to-date economic and trend information for graphic communications professionals to equip them move their companies forward now.
"Given the recession, it's more important than ever for graphic communications executives to stay on top of the latest industry findings and trends. We have, therefore, tailored this year's program to offer exactly the industry-specific economic, technology and trends information most relevant to helping companies move beyond their current business situations," says Ralph Nappi, NPES President. "Our Regional Meetings offer a convenient way for member companies and other interested parties to gain such knowledge, share ideas and network with colleagues-without having to travel far from their own offices."
Running from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., each program will kick off with timely and informative presentations by two of the industry's most knowledgeable and respected speakers. Dr. Joe Webb, Director of WhatTheyThink's Economics & Research Center, will reveal the current dynamics of the economy and the printing industry, and discuss the new market for communications that print will encounter in the next five years and beyond. Print technologies expert Frank Romano will then present powerful information on the latest trends in printing technology, print buying, company sizing, emerging technologies and more. The presentations will be followed by an interactive "Battle of the Titans" discussion between the two provocative speakers, to be moderated by Nappi.
The day will conclude with guided VIP plant tours in three locations that will allow participants to network with peers while further expanding their real-world outlook for how to succeed in the second half of 2009 and into next year.
The NPES Regional Meetings, previously held during the winter, were moved this year to the spring/summer. The meetings will take place:
• Friday, June 12 in Dayton, OH
• Monday, June 15 in Chicago
• Thursday, June 25 in Teaneck
• NJ Friday, June 26 in Boston.
