Melan Installs Xeikon Technology to Expand Its Digital Printing Capabilities
Press release from the issuing company
St-Laurent, QC, December 15, 2008 - Xeikon, a division of Punch Graphix, legendary for pioneering the first digital color presses today announced that Melan, a full service marketing print products provider, has successfully purchased and installed Xeikon technology. Melan will use the Xeikon technology to produce oversized posters, banners and signage for its expanding customer base.
"Choosing Xeikon technology to enhance our business was a simple decision," said Garo Nazarian, Owner of Melan. "Given that many of our products require format size flexibility, they cannot be printed on any other digital color press due to their sheet/frame size restrictions. With a 20" wide substrate width and no restrictions on the length of the printed image, the Xeikon technology has tremendous format flexibility for producing these applications as well as the ability to expand into new applications."
Garo Nazarian further added, "Where we see additional opportunities with the Xeikon is its tremendous capability for variable data printing. In today's economy, our customers are looking for more than "just a printer". The Xeikon is our springboard to provide the value-added services that enhance our customers' marketing print projects. Melan is now able to play a key role from conception to execution, whether with creative agencies or with end users."
The Xeikon technology chosen by Melan is designed to make digital printing more profitable by guaranteeing increased uptime and superior printing results. Its printing capacity unlocks new opportunities. With the installation, Melan can satisfy market needs with a flexible solution that will easily translate into quality products.
"Now more than ever, printers are eager to commit to technologies and techniques that will facilitate success for their business, beyond the economy," said Michael Ring, VP of Sales & Chief Marketing Officer of Xeikon's North American operations. "We are excited to hear that since the implementation of its Xeikon technology, Melan has seen success and we're enthusiastic to play a role in the future achievements of the company."
