Presstek will be accepting orders for the 52DI-AC during the show in Booth 3646. The press will be available for delivery in early 2010.

The Presstek 52DI-AC supports both flood (full page) and spot aqueous coating. Spot aqueous coating, when applied to specific areas such as individual images and/or text, produces a dramatic effect with those items appearing to literally pop off of the page.

Aqueous coating capabilities offer clients a broad selection of choices for adding visual impact and durability to superior quality printing on a wide range of substrates up to 20-point thick. The Presstek 52DI-AC is a 52cm landscape format press with a maximum sheet size of 20.47 x 14.76 inches (520 x 375 mm) and can print 300 lpi (120 l/cm) and FM screening, without added time or expense.

The already fast turnaround time is enhanced, due to the integrated coating process in the Presstek 52DI-AC press, and the fast drying time of the aqueous coating results in increased throughput and it speeds the turnaround time to the client.

The Presstek 52DI-AC is an environmentally-friendly solution since it offers waterless printing, water-based aqueous coatings, on-press chemistry-free platemaking and generates substantially less waste than conventional offset printing processes. The fast drying aqueous coating reduces the use of spray powder, which is good for the operator as well as environment. In addition, the 52DI-AC utilizes anilox metering, which precisely measures and controls the amount of coating being applied; further reducing waste and enhancing the quality of the printed sheet.
