ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- At a time when product innovation and revenue-generating market solutions are more important than ever, the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has selected the KODAK FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System as the sole recipient of its 2009 Flexographic Technical Association Technical Innovation Award. Presented on May 3 at the Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association's 2009 Annual Forum and INFO*FLEX Exhibition, the award recognizes companies that have developed new or improved innovative technology and printing techniques.

Kodak is exhibiting in booth 701/800 at INFO*FLEX, May 4-5 in Orlando and is a Gold Sponsor of the event. Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to see interactive demonstrations of KODAK PRINERGY POWERPACK - Workflow v5 as well as the newest PDF File Editor and Packaging Layout Automation features. In addition, Dr. John Anderson, Global Marketing, Flexo Plates, Kodak, is delivering a presentation on "FLEXCEL NX-Innovation that Delivers" on Monday and Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the INFO*FLEX Presentation Theater.

The FTA congratulated Kodak for having its technology chosen as the sole recipient of the award. The association noted that the judging was once again very competitive, and the award is highly respected within the industry.

Winner of the 2008 PIA/GATF InterTech Technology Award and the Flexographic Pre-Press Platemakers Association (FPPA) Technology Innovator of the Year Award, the KODAK FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System provides previously unachievable offset class, gravure quality printing on a wide variety of substrates-including paper, flexible film, foil, paperboard, and label stock. The FLEXCEL NX System helps ensure stability and repeatability, both in prepress and on press.

A number of Kodak customers also received Excellence in Print Awards in a variety of categories from FTA for projects produced using the FLEXCEL NX System.
