PARAMUS, NJ, April 27, 2007 — The Research & Engineering Council of NAPL invites nominations for its 2007 Bindery, Finishing & Distribution Manager of the Year and its Pressroom Operations Manager of the Year Awards. The prestigious awards will be presented during the inaugural R&E Council of NAPL Applied Technology Conference, June 20 -22, 2007, at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel, in Atlanta, GA, the industry’s most comprehensive forum for leveraging technology in a graphic communications environment. Each award recognizes an individual who personifies the principles of leadership in his or her respective area, providing a prime opportunity for company leaders to honor someone within their organization who has made a significant contribution to pressroom or bindery, finishing, and distribution operations. Criteria for the awards and examples of leadership include, for example, implementation of new technology, leadership of production staff, continuous improvement in manufacturing, and promotion of education and training in production, as well as a record of providing outstanding service for customer and creating value for his or her company. “The Operations Managers of the Year Awards are not for company presidents and owners,” said Robert G. Whitton, R&E Council of NAPL Managing Director. “We seek to recognize those individuals who are immersed in plant operations. Nominations should be submitted by coworkers or company owners and may be endorsed by supplier or industry colleagues.
