Fusion Systems International announced that it has obtained full G7 Expert status through the IDEAlliance. This allows Fusion Systems to certify any printer as a G7 Master Printer, allowing that printer proclaim itself as G7 Certified and guarantee adherence to the G7 standard to their print customers.
G7 is a proof-to-print process based on a set of color criteria developed to ensure digital print technology elements – RIP, printer, media and ink – can reproduce a typical offset lithography sheet.
Certification ensures users can confidently use digital press proofs with the assurance of matching Standard Web Offset Printing (SWOP) or Graphic Requirements for Applications of Commercial Offset Lithography (GRACOL™) criteria.
The innovative G7 specification process was developed by IDEAlliance to modernize and improve the latest versions of GRACOL™ and SWOP™ standards while simplifying the calibration process of any printing device (from pre-press proofing system to printing presses) to the IS0 printing standard.
