Digital Image merges With Kennickell Print & Global Marketing
Press release from the issuing company
Digital Image accelerates Kennickell's entry into wide and grand format direct-digital printing
Today, Kennickell announces its merge with Savannah's Digital Image Color Supergraphics. Digital Image is the most advanced digital graphics production house for wide format point of purchase displays, banners, vehicle wraps, and environmental graphics. The expertise of Digital Image, in combination with Kennickell's reputation for quality and service, will provide the local and regional market with a 'one-stop' source for direct-digital wide format printing. The addition of Kennickell's state of the art FB 6100 UV printer will provide shared and new clients with superior quality, faster turnaround times, and lower costs.
"This is the next logical step," said Doug Smith, President of Digital Image. "Our two companies share a commitment to quality, service, and results. By leveraging the strengths we have each developed over the years-as a combined force in the market-we will now be able to serve our region more effectively than ever before, making our clients more competitive, more efficient, and ultimately more profitable."
"We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring both Royce Copeland and Doug Smith from Digital Image into our operation," said Al Kennickell, President of Kennickell Print & Global Marketing. "We knew that we had some of the finest equipment money could buy in the wide format industry, but we also knew that we needed experienced people to make the most of our entry into this market. Doug and Royce have been very successful in wide format digital printing for over 17 years. We are thrilled at the possibilities of where we can go together."
Kennickell Print & Global Marketing, a 117 year old print and marketing services provider in Savannah, Georgia, last month announced its new line of wide-format printing services. This new line includes posters, banners, point-of-sale materials, vehicle wraps, special event signage, and other large-format printing applications. The company's new FB 6100 UV hybrid flatbed/roll-to-roll digital printer uses cutting-edge inkjet technology to create high-quality marketing signage that helps customers promote their brands, products, and services. It is the first device in the region that allows customers to print digital images directly on to rigid material, thus saving them time and money. The FB 6100 can print directly on substrates ranging from form boards, fabrics, Plexiglas, and more. In flatbed mode, the printer can print on boards up to 6 feet by 10 feet, and in roll-to-roll it can print up to ten feet wide by an unlimited length.
Kennickell Print & Global Marketing operates in two facilities in Savannah. Its printing operations are located in its 45,000 square foot plant on President Street, while its direct mail and fulfillment facility is one mile away in its 80,000 square foot operation on Causton Bluff Road, just off of President Street. The company provides high end print, multi-channel marketing services, advanced data analytics, fulfillment, direct mail, and inventory control for clients all over the country. Kennickell is also the world's largest producer of personalized framed prints, which are produced for clients like the NFL, NHL, and Major League Baseball.
