Yupo Announces Leadership Promotions To Support Recent Growth

CHESAPEAKE, VA (April 23, 2007) – Yupo Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing and sale of synthetic paper, announces several new promotions that will strengthen the company’s sales and marketing team in the Americas and further streamline manufacturing processes. These changes compliment Yupo’s recent corporate growth strategy, which has included structural reorganization, capacity enhancements, capital investments, and significant additions to its product lines to add value for graphic communications, converting, packaging, and labeling markets.
Among recent changes in leadership, Paul Mitcham has been promoted from National Marketing Manager to Director of Marketing and Sales Support at Yupo Corporation America. He will be responsible for developing focused sales and marketing warehouse and logistics strategies. Mitcham is also in charge of implementing product branding, development and improvement initiatives in conjunction with overall marketing strategies and customer needs. He has been with Yupo Corporation America for 7 years and possesses over 21 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, logistics, manufacturing and engineering.
Yupo Corporation America has also promoted Dave Ofstein to Director of Quality Assurance. In his new role, Ofstein will continue to ensure enhancement of all Yupo Corporation America quality systems, including customer care, advancement of lean projects, data analysis and reporting. He will also be responsible for supporting incorporation of new technologies and products. Ofstein has been with Yupo for 11 years and has over 25 years of professional experience performing various functions within the plastic industry, including R&D, product development, project management, production and converting.
Formerly in the role of Assistant Finishing Manager, Angelita Millendez has been promoted to Finishing Manager. She will direct the operations of all converting processes at Yupo Corporation America, such as slitting, sheeting, packaging and warehousing logistics, to ensure product quality and meet customer demands. Millendez will also implement internal skill training and professional development in finishing. She has over two decades of experience in engineering and laboratory management, with ten years spent at Yupo.
Cathy Rock has been promoted to Accounting Manager. In her new role, Rock will be responsible for supervising employees, preparing financial statements, and maintaining and managing cost systems, general ledger entries and various state taxes. She has been with Yupo Corporation America for over nine years.
