Fortune 100 Printing Consultant David Zwang’s Session Modified to Address Essential Actions Printers & Vendors Must Take in 2009
David Zwang, printing consultant to the U.S. State Department and advisor to graphic arts’ premier manufacturers and printers, will speak to Graphics of the Americas attendees on Friday, February 27, at 1:00 pm about actions our industry must take, to survive, in 2009.
Zwang will address manufacturers and printers both in this timely presentation that equips companies with survival gear to shield them as they sustain themselves through this period.
Says George Ryan, President of Graphics of the Americas, “When we signed David on to present at Graphics of the Americas, the world was in a different state of being. At the time we decided that a focus on simplifying, and explaining, industry standards; would be the best utilization of David’s expertise. We got on the phone when it became clear that we should refocus Dave’s presentation to also reflect the changes occurring throughout the world.
Says Zwang, “There are plenty of print jobs out there, and someone is getting them. I’ll focus on how printers become the shop that gets those jobs, even now. And for manufacturers, I’ll discuss the current realities in the field that have bearing on their development, distribution, and service.
“Plus, how do manufacturers and graphic arts providers position themselves for the road ahead? Where is the balance between safety and assertive progress with minimum risk?
“And what are the drastic measures you will have no choice but to take, if you haven’t already?”
Content from the original session, covering industry standards and how to utilize them to be the “quality shop that gets the jobs”, will be included in Zwang’s modified presentation.
