ROME, NY (October 18, 2008) – The Board of Directors of Rome-based Cathedral Corporation, a national provider of transactional documents, personalized direct mail, and e-marketing services, recently announced that Marianne W. Gaige has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer and continues as company president, a post she has held since 1996.

In this capacity, Gaige is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations at the company's three facilities in New York and Rhode Island, in addition to managing its finance, strategic planning and new business development efforts.

Gaige has quickly risen to the top at Cathedral Corporation, beginning as Director of Business Development in 1992 before being promoted to Executive Vice President for Operations in 1994, and then President in 1996.  She planned and led the company's diversification into the variable data printing of invoices, statements and checks for businesses and non-profit organizations.

Gaige was also responsible for the development of electronic presentment solutions including e-statements, e-billing and payment, and e-mail marketing.  She is currently spearheading the data management company's recent expansion into the burgeoning transpromo industry, which involves the blending of promotional marketing messages with monthly customer statements and transactional documents.

A Certified Public Accountant, Gaige earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Alfred University and received her Master's degree in Business Administration from Harvard University's Graduate School of Business.

Active in a number of business, professional and community organizations, Gaige is an officer of and serves on the Board of Trustees for Utica College and Upstate Cerebral Palsy (UCP).  She also serves on the Board of Trustees for St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Mohawk Valley EDGE, and the Imaging Network Group, an international association of service companies that specialize in electronic and print presentment.

In addition, she is a member of the Utica Industrial Development Corporation (UIDC) Board of Directors and the Upstate NY Advisory Board for Liberty Mutual Insurance.  Gaige has also worked with Hospice's Light Up A Life campaign and is a major supporter of the Mohawk Valley United Way and the Utica Symphony Orchestra.

She resides in Holland Patent with her husband and daughter.
