CGS appoints D&K Gerke GmbH sales partner for digital printing business
Press release from the issuing company
(May 07, 2008) With immediate effect media solutions D&K Gerke GmbH in Hamburg has been appointed sales partner of CGS Publishing Technologies International GmbH. The new agreement focuses on sales activities for ORIS products providing color management for laser printers. Since 2003 media solutions has acted as a consultant for technical and commercial solutions in the publishing business and has gained reputation for professionally implementing new concepts and ideas in a competitive environment.
Digital printing systems, in addition to conventional prepress solutions and consumables, have become an important factor of business success. CGS has recognized the market demand at an early stage and developed solutions that provide a high level of color accuracy and repeatability.
"We are proud to have found in media solutions a competent partner who is capable of professionally communicating our experience in the area of digital printing and color management", says Heiner Müller, sales directory at CGS. "The cooperation with digital printing vendors is a perfect basis for positioning our digital proofing solutions in the market – a market becoming increasingly important for us." With its PPD-controlled ORIS Press Matcher, CGS has developed a solution for laser printers which integrates seamlessly with existing workflows and meets even the most demanding requirements placed on digital laser proofs when used with Xerox printing systems, for example. If necessary, the system can also be operated and managed via a web client and is thus suited for remote proofing environments and print clusters. Thomas Brinkmann, CEO of media solutions, adds: "Today users expect even medium-priced digital printing systems to provide almost offset printing quality in addition to high throughput and low printing costs. CGS products provide exactly this competitive level of quality and allow us to establish digital systems even in companies with extremely demanding quality standards."
