Ft. Worth, Texas April 5, 2008 -- Ft. Worth-based Branch-Smith Printing recently expanded its facility with a new North Fort Worth Facility. The expansion will allow Branch Smith Printing to serve customers in the 4x6 to 7x9 book market.
The North Fort Worth Facility will allow Branch-Smith to focus on markets that need printed documentation to support their products. Branch-Smith will be dedicating the black and white web press in the North Fort Worth Facility specifically for the 4x6 to 7x9 book market. This new web press is a 2 unit Mark II Hantcho cold set web press with 19 3/8 cut off with double parallel folder. It also has an In-Line bundler stacker and Tandem Butler zero speed splicers.
Branch-Smith Printing has been a sheet-fed printer from the first day that Aaron Smith opened the doors in 1910. The North Fort Worth Facility will hold the first web press that Branch-Smith Printing has installed, which will allow new doors to be opened for the company. In the next quarter, Branch-Smith will also be installing a Muller Martini NB2, 24 pocket, Perfect Binder in the North Fort Worth Facility. This new binder will allow for faster speeds and larger books. Both of these additions will help Branch-Smith to maximize services provided to current and future customers.
"This new facility is a defining moment in the history of our company. These new capabilities will complement our existing capabilities very well! We look forward to becoming an expert leader in these new product segments as well." (Daniel Hanson, Vice President, Branch-Smith Printing)
