April 01, 2008 -- Mohawk Fine Papers Inc. was awarded Best of Show in the category of Innovations in Paper Usage and Substrates at the 2008 ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition held in Boston March 3rd through the 6th.  Mohawk, the only paper manufacturer to receive one of the nine Best of Show awards, received its award for the carbon neutral Beckett Cambric line, which debuted at the conference.
 
Mohawk's Senior Vice President Marketing and Business Planning, Craig Slemp, was at the awards presentation to accept on behalf of Mohawk.  "The relaunch of Beckett Cambric has made this historic linen-textured paper a much-needed and contemporary alternative to what is available.  Beckett Cambric has modern colors, heavier weights, is FSC certified and made carbon neutral, and is another addition to Mohawk's offering of textured papers engineered to run on HP Indigo presses," says Slemp.
