Xerox's Gil Hatch Center Tour Added to the PSDA Conference
Press release from the issuing company
Alexandria, VA – June 18, 2008– The Print Services & Distribution Association (PSDA) has just announced the addition of the Xerox Gil Hatch Center for Customer Innovation tour at the upcoming Printers & Suppliers Executive Conference on July 13-15. Attendees now have the option to tour one of two outstanding Rochester facilities - the Printing Applications Laboratory at RIT or the Xerox Gil Hatch Center for Customer Innovation.
The Xerox Gill Hatch Center for Customer Innovation is a world class facility, and truly one-of-a-kind. The 16,000 square foot facility is the world's largest permanent demonstration facility for digital printing solutions and technology, boasting production floor features such as streamlined workflow solutions, a wide variety of integrated print finishing solutions and the industry's broadest array of digital presses including the iGen4 just announced at Drupa.
Equally as impressive, the Printing Applications Laboratory is tasked with keeping a finger on emerging trends, as well as researching and evaluating areas of immediate concern for the print industry. RIT's Printing Applications Laboratory conducts comprehensive evaluations of ink, paper, toner, fountain solution, competitive benchmarking, printing process measurement and control; custom testing and control target development, and much more.
These two tours will round out three days of invaluable education sessions, a supplier showcase and a kick-off plant tour at Cohber Press. "This event is essential to keep the industry moving forward," said Peter Colaianni, CAE, executive vice president for PSDA. "It is always vital to have progressive educational topics followed by tours of those companies who 'get it', especially during a struggling economy."
Both tours are included in the registration fee, but advanced notice is required for each. For a complete agenda and to register for this event, please visit, http://www.psda.org/events/PSEC/home.aspx.
