Muller Martini Attracts Large Graph Expo Audience

Press release from the issuing company

(November 10, 2008) Utilizing the theme "Grow with Us" which was introduced at the highly attended drupa show, Muller Martini continued its marketing message at the 2008 Graph Expo show, providing ideas about how printers and binderies can grow their opportunities with Muller's new generation of machines.  Among the highlights of the event was the North American debut of Muller's state-of-the-art Primera E140 saddle stitcher.

"Traffic in our booth was substantial throughout Graph Expo, and we thank all those who visited us," said Werner Naegeli, President and CEO of Muller Martini Corp. "Graph Expo was a successful forum for us to communicate the diverse ways Muller Martini partners with print production operations of all sizes.  We are committed to collaborating with our customers on a personalized level...tailoring operation-specific equipment and workflow solutions that can help them grow their sales and profits."

During the Graph Expo show, visitors expressed keen interest in Muller Martini's new machine generation featuring .   controls on the redesigned machines which have been standardized to create uniformity and promote ease of use throughout all of Muller's equipment lines.  Muller machines have also been given an ergonomic makeover, resulting in improved operator productivity as well as increased safety.

Demonstrated at the Muller Martini Graph Expo exhibit was the new and fully automated Primera E140 saddle stitcher. Changeovers were completed live, displaying the Primera E140's ability to be readied for production quickly through the use of intuitive touchscreen technology and a user-friendly set-up wizard that take the operator step-by-step through the make-ready process.  Also highlighted was the new feeder engineering on the Primera E140, specifically the company's "Magic Wheel" feeder technology, which provides the ability to hold signature tolerances with significantly improved control. This important breakthrough in feeder innovation enables a wider range of jobs, especially difficult ones, to be produced faster and with less waste.  Among the types of challenging jobs that are well suited for the Primera E140 saddle stitcher are those featuring smaller sizes, thinner and lighter-weight stocks and perforations.

Another attraction at the Graph Expo show for Muller Martini video re-caps of the drupa event held this past Spring. The videos were viewed by graphic arts professionals who could not travel overseas for drupa, but were able to capture the essence of the event on video screens placed within the Muller booth.  Muller Martini presented virtual tours of its product lines (saddle stitching, perfect binding, hardcover, variable size web offset presses, press delivery, newspaper mailroom systems and digital book manufacturing), enabling Graph Expo attendees to see how these technologies could be utilized to enhance operational efficiency and raise profit potential.
