PIA/GATF Offers Podcast Full of Marketing Advice

Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, PA, September 28, 2007--PIA/GATF has released a free podcast featuring an interview with Steve Cone, keynote speaker of PIA/GATF's 2007 Variable Data and Personalization Conference, November 4--6, in Phoenix, Arizona.
In the podcast, Cone, noted author of Steal These Ideas: Marketing Secrets That Will Make You a Star, offers his opinions on how to craft winning marketing strategies. The ten-minute podcast features Cone's views on the keys to effective marketing and how companies can develop marketing "personality" and "attitude" (click HERE to access the podcast, right click on the Audio interview link, and select "Save Target As." Cone is executive vice president of Epsilon, one of the world's top direct marketing agencies, and he works directly with clients in all industries to design, implement, measure, and improve multichannel marketing programs. Over his 30-year career, including stops at American Express, Fidelity Investments, and Citicorp, where he coordinated worldwide brand management, Cone has built a reputation for imaginative solutions to tough marketing issues.
The critical issue of how to break out of the "just printing" mold through rebranding will be explored on the conference's closing day by Micha Riss. Riss is creative director of Flying Machine, a New York agency dedicated to solving branding problems.
The Variable Data and Personalization Conference, now in its sixth year, helps printers plan strategy and learn about new approaches, applications, and technologies surrounding the increasing use of variable data in client campaigns.
This year's conference is organized into a print-centric track for firms relatively new to variable data, a cross-media track for more advanced practitioners, and a business management track focusing on sales, marketing, and performance-related issues. Special workshops on selling variable campaigns and building web-to-print storefronts precede the conference.
