Delphax to Demonstrate CR2200 at MBO America Innovation Days Open House, Nov. 7-9
Press release from the issuing company
MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 24 -- Delphax Technologies Inc., a global provider of high-speed digital printing systems, announced today that it will demonstrate an in-line perfect bound book production system featuring the Delphax CR2200 at MBO Open House Innovation Days Nov. 7-9 in Westampton, N.J. The Delphax CR2200 is the fastest monochrome toner-based digital print system in the world, operating at 500 feet per minute.
Advantages of the CR2200 press include improved cycle times, higher productivity and reduced labor. These and other advantages provide lower overall production costs and increased throughput capabilities. The range of production capability also allows CR2200 Book Solution customers to increase the amount of short run work transferred from their offset press, extending the benefits of print-on-demand.
On the strength of its CR Series presses, Delphax has raised the bar on the development and delivery of total digital print solutions capable of ultra high volumes. During the Open House, the company will be presenting the Delphax Total Book Solution Systems, producing approximately 900 perfect bound books every hour. Delphax delivers total printing solutions with other industry leaders, including MBO America, Muller Martini and KTI.
Delphax's flagship CR Series features the company's unique and patented electron-beam imaging (EBI) technology, with 600 x 600 dpi print quality, producing excellent text, line art, and grey scale images on every page. The CR Series produces duplex images with a tight web design for substrate flexibility, exceptional front to back registration, while running at a very high speed of 500 feet per minute, producing 2,182 pages per minute.
The CR Series digital presses handle a broad spectrum of applications and substrates ranging from ultra-light paper to heavy stocks. They are designed to easily integrate with a wide variety of post-production systems and applications.
"We hear our customers saying they are looking for an end-to-end complete solution -- paper in and book out," said Dieter Schilling, Delphax president and chief executive officer. "The production system we will be demonstrating is an example of working closely with our industry finishing partners to deliver the total Print Production Solution to our customers. We want our customers to know we hear them and we are addressing the needs of the marketplace."
Recognizing the value and individualized attention that a smaller venue can offer business owners of any size, Delphax will participate at the MBO America Innovation Days Open House.
Several other partners will be joining Delphax at the MBO America Innovation Days Nov. 7-9. This unmatched team of digital and traditional experts in this very focused setting is expected to draw national attendance.
