The Mail House in Illinois Installs Canon U.S.A.'s Revolutionary Imagepress C7000Vp Digital Press
Press release from the issuing company
CHICAGO, September 9, 2007 -- Helping to meet a growing need for high-quality, consistent color output, Canon U.S.A., Inc., today announced the installation of one of the first production-level imagePRESS C7000VP digital presses at The Mail House, Inc., in suburban Chicago.
The Mail House, a direct mail services provider, with nearly 200 clients, offers complete automation of direct mail pieces, including personalization, insertion and assembly of direct mail campaigns. Canon Business Solutions, a subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., recently installed the imagePRESS C7000VP at The Mail House's main facility in Elk Grove Village, Ill., and will provide on going training and service to the customer.
With the imagePRESS C7000VP digital press now installed, The Mail House has been able to increase production capacity while improving the overall image quality of the print jobs. The Mail House has also been able to handle a variety of heavier substrates and larger sheet sizes at the device's rated speed, since the installation of the imagePRESS C7000VP.
"The overall quality and consistency of the output, including the smoothing of the toner on finished pieces, has been tremendous," said Christopher Ultsch, vice president/operator, The Mail House, Inc. "The Canon imagePRESS C7000VP, which seamlessly integrated into our existing workflow, has allowed us to dramatically increase the size of jobs we have been able to deliver. In fact, we recently fulfilled one of our largest jobs on the imagePRESS - more than 12,000 clicks - quickly and with consistent quality."

Canon's imagePRESS Workflow Solutions Program is a collection of Canon-branded and third-party hardware and software solutions that focus on key workflows in production printing environments to maximize efficiencies, and help printers build solutions and grow a profitable digital business.
Canon has also recently introduced the imagePRESS Essential Business Builder program. The program is a step-by-step approach to help printers develop the right "go-to-market" strategy for their new imagePRESS C7000VP digital press and help them become value-added solutions providers.
