Solimar Systems To Unveil Enhanced Print Director Enterprise at On Demand

Press release from the issuing company

SAN DIEGO, CA — April 10, 2007 — Solimar Systems, Inc., a leading global provider of production printing and secure document delivery solutions, today announced an enhanced version of Solimar Print Director Enterprise. Solimar’s client-server-based enterprise output management solution is designed to improve the performance of production output processes and optimize management control. The enhanced version will be publicly demonstrated for the AIIM/On Demand Conference attendees at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in booth #1150 from April 17 to 19, 2007. The latest version of Solimar Print Director Enterprise contains enhanced PDF Emulation Modules that interpret PDF data and transform it to AFPDS, IPDS, Metacode, PostScript, or TIFF files. The new PDF to AFPDS module transforms PDF data to AFPDS (Advanced Function Presentation Data Stream) for outputting to printers or legacy archive systems that natively ingest AFPDS. “Many of our clients have legacy COLD systems that ingest AFPDS,” states Mary Ann Rowan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We can now create AFPDS from virtually any print stream to drive printers and archive systems directly.” “For those clients that require AFPDS job information to be indexed, Solimar Print Director Enterprise can be used in conjunction with Solimar’s Rubika™ Process Director to add Tag Logical Elements (TLE) to PDF files prior to their conversion into AFPDS”, adds Rowan. The PDF modules provide the following advantages for Solimar Print Director Enterprise (SPDE) users: - Interpretation of the PDF data is accurate and reliable - Supports the latest implementation of the PDF specification - Supports multiple PDF transformations simultaneously
