NAPL Management Institute 2007 a Sell out

Press release from the issuing company

PARAMUS, NJ, SEPTEMBER 5, 2007 – The 2007 NAPL Management Institute (MI), held Aug. 11-14 at George Washington University in Washington, DC, was one of the most successful ever, drawing 63 attendees from 40 companies, 18 of which sent more than one attendee. This represents a nearly 100% increase in attendance compared with 2006 levels.
"This year's MI was a dynamic event thanks to the expertise of the faculty and the enthusiastic participation of the attendees," said Joseph P. Truncale, NAPL president and chief executive officer. "At a time when effective management skills have never been more critical to the success of a company, I'm gratified that NAPL can offer a program of this caliber to support management and leadership development."
Attendees of this year's NAPL Management Institute provided NAPL with enthusiastic feedback on the program, which offered three concurrent courses in Sales Management, Production Management, and Financial Management, which, at 28 participants, was a sellout. Participants credited MI for providing practical strategies and insights to improve business performance and for the quality of its faculty, course materials, and interactive learning environment.
MI attendee Don Bergeron, executive vice president of Daily Printing, Inc., Plymouth, MN, noted that "attending the Financial Management course at NAPL's Management Institute gave me a better understanding of how cash can 'make or break' even the best companies. The information I came away with has assisted us in making some necessary changes to our own financial management policies and procedures. Joe Becker [MI faculty member] has a passion for this industry that made the course both informative and entertaining."
"I was impressed with the emphasis on practical applications, especially those dealing with resistance to change," said Jason Hillman, production manager of Copy General Corporation, Sterling, VA, who participated in the Production Management course at MI.
MI Sales Management course attendee Rick Hunter, vice president of Sales of SouthData, Inc., Mount Airy, NC, noted that "the leadership of the class was extraordinary. The course materials were excellent and dead on."
The 2008 NAPL Management Institute will take place in August in Washington, DC. Exact dates and venue will be announced soon. For information, contact Susan Reif, NAPL Senior Director, Organizational Development, at (800) 642-6275, ext. 6350, or [email protected].
