Buhrs Americas Receives Must-See-‘em! and Worth-a-Look Awards at Graph Expo
Press release from the issuing company
Minneapolis, MN, 18 November 2008— Buhrs Americas, the North American subsidiary of the leading international provider of mailing solutions, received a Must-See-em! award and a Worth-a-Look! award at Graph Expo 2008. Commenting on the awards, Buhrs Americas President and CEO Michael Aumann said: “The 16 editors and consultants who evaluate product introductions in advance of Graph Expo 2008 deemed two new Buhrs products as significant advances in mailing and wrapping technology. We are pleased that these products—also major attractions at drupa earlier this year—were honored. Judging from traffic in the Buhrs Americas booth, visitors at Graph Expo 2008 also found both products interesting potential additions to their operations.”
The Buhrs 4000 DPW Dual Paper Wrapping System received a Must-See-Em! award, the highest honor bestowed on products being introduced at the show. The 4000 DPW—an entirely new concept in wrapping—can accept preprinted rolls or be operated in line with a press. The web of preprinted wrapping paper is slit in the machine, creating twin envelope lines. The dual inline scheme permits producing envelopes at the rate of 36,000 per hour in a machine operating at a mechanical speed of only 18,000 per hour. The 4000 DPW also may be operated in single-output mode at 18,000 per hour using either paper or polyester for wrapping.
The new Buhrs BB700 Inserter—which received a Worth-a-Look! award, is the fastest, most flexible inserter on the market. In addition to speed, format flexibility distinguishes the Buhrs BB700 from other inserters on the market. The machine operates at full rated speed over a wide envelope and insert size range.
