“The future of packaging and printing is definitely here in Thailand. A lot of big names have taken notice of PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL and we hope they too will see it as a springboard for packaging and printing in Southeast Asia and beyond,” commented Gernot Ringling, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia. Increased consumer wealth and growing exports of processed foods and other products drive the demand for sophisticated, global standard packaging and printing services, making Asia the fastest growing market for printing and packaging. Southeast Asia, headed by Thailand and Singapore, has underscored its role as a global player in printing services and in the ASEAN member nations Indonesia and Malaysia, a printing growth of more than 50% is expected by 2011. India is the fastest growing print market in Asia – with an anticipated growth of 73% by 2011.

When last held in 2007, PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL attracted some 18,000 visitors from 60 countries and 285 exhibitors from 25 nations on 161,400 square feet of exhibit space. The event received very positive ratings from the exhibitors in terms of visitor quality (98% satisfaction), visitor quantity (92%) and participation (92%).
