Press release from the issuing company
July 27, 2007 -- Digitally oriented 'how-to' tutorials for both the novice and the experienced printer will be among the featured learning sessions at the EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK Conference to be held in McCormick Place on Saturday, September 8, 2007, the day before the opening of GRAPH EXPO. GRAPH EXPO to be held September 9-12, 2007 is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of digital and offset printing equipment, products and related services in the Western Hemisphere.
Printers attending both EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK and GRAPH EXPO will have the unique opportunity to first learn what options exist and how to enter the digital printing production field, and then see and explore the newest digital printing products from among the 600 exhibits that will fill the sprawling 457,584 net sq. ft. trade show floor. Structured for the printer with no digital printing experience will be a tutorial on “How to Get Started in Color Digital Printing” which will include business, marketing and technology considerations. This press-product neutral session will be presented by Gavin Smith, Vice President, Commercial Print and Prepress Business, Xerox Corporation. For the experienced digital printer, a 'how-to' learning session on “Data Handling and Management for Variable Digital Printing” will be presented by Professor John Leininger, Department of Graphic Communications, Clemson University.
Offset litho and digital printers will increase their knowledge about “Web-to-Print Workflows” in a session presented by Donald H. Goldman, President, ConsultWare, and they will gain new insights about how to become a “Multiple Media Provider” in a tutorial presented by Richard Littrell, President, MagiComm.
Established printers of all types will benefit from the tutorial on “How to Extract an Advantage and Profit from Binding and Finishing” presented by a panel of suppliers and moderated by Dennis E. Mason, President of Mason Consulting. And, just in time for offset printers currently in the market for new equipment that contains many digital-based features will be a presentation on “How to Decide what Litho Press to Buy Next” by Raymond J. Prince, well-known press guru and NAPL consultant.
A roadmap to the most compelling equipment of all types at GRAPH EXPO will be presented to attendees during the announcement of the MUST SEE 'EMS product and technology recognition awards. The MUST SEE 'EMS program identifies those products that GRAPH EXPO show goers must consider to remain competitive with other printers and the supplementary communication format, electronic media. This year's entries will showcase the newest and most compelling digital-related technologies from across the entire spectrum of technologies and products from prepress through binding and finishing.
To conclude the full day learning experience a glimpse of drupa '08 will be presented by Joachim Schäfer, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf followed by a German-style reception and buffet dinner sponsored by drupa – Messe Düsseldorf.
