HUDSON, N.H., Nov. 8 2007 -- Presstek, Inc., the leading manufacturer and marketer of digital offset printing business solutions, today announced the appointment of Mark J. Levin as president, Americas region. In this role, Levin will be responsible for establishing and managing the overall sales, service and customer relationship strategy for the company's Americas region and will report directly to Jeff Jacobson, president and chief executive officer. Presstek named Levin to this position to strengthen business relationships and sales channels throughout the region and to expand Presstek's customer base.
"Mark is a skilled leader recognized within the printing industry for increasing organizational effectiveness and building strong customer relationships," said Jacobson. "Mark brings an excellent combination of both an in-depth equipment and consumables background. His experience at Heidelberg and Sun Chemical will be a key asset to the growth of our sales channels as we continue to expand the reach of our DI digital offset presses and deliver customer-focused solutions for the changing print landscape."
Levin brings nearly 30 years of experience in the printing industry to the company and joins Presstek from Sun Chemical where he served as president of the North American commercial group. In this role, he was responsible for improving operating performance and customer satisfaction, and the development of a go-to-market strategy that successfully increased company market share. Levin also served as president of Sun Chemical's publication inks business where he drove the company's top line growth. Before joining Sun Chemical, Levin spent 24 years with Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, a leading provider of print solutions for customers in the print media industry, where he served as senior vice president of web presses and vice president of sales for North America.
Levin received his B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and earned an Executive Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University. He has served on the boards of Printing Industries of America's Non Heatset and WOA Supplier Advisory Board, and is currently active with R & E Council, NAPL, Spectrum, and IDEAlliance.
"I am very excited about joining Jeff Jacobson and the members of the Presstek team," said Mark Levin. "Presstek offers a solid portfolio of digital offset solutions which provide real value for today's evolving print environment. I see a great opportunity to expand the use of these solutions."
