Ulricehamn, Sweden, March 23, 2007- InPress Systems, a leading prepress software developer and veteran Xinet reseller, announced today the release of InCharge. This new addition to the InPress product family is the first to incorporate job folder management, archiving to disk, advanced file delivery options and offline data migration tools into Xinet’s WebNative.
InCharge introduces an end-to-end job workflow and archive management solution for prepress, printing, retail and advertising companies running Xinet’s WebNative by providing a set of tools to enforce structured job folder creation, to control job cleanup and file delivery and to manage and automate archive scheduling.
InCharge provides tight control over jobs from the moment they are created on the WebNative server until they are ready to be moved offline for long-term storage or simply removed from the system.
Archiving setups for InCharge can be defined per job or per customer. Jobs can be scheduled for automatic delivery to disk archive or manually selected for archive when a project is completed. InCharge keeps track of how long a job will remain near line before moving on to a staging area to be prepared for the appropriate offline media storage solution. Restore privileges can be given to users to retrieve files form disk archive at any time.
Project Creator: The InCharge Project Creator plug-in uses templates to establish jobs on the server with predefined attributes by creating appropriate sub-folders, assigning necessary database fields and applying archiving setup information.
InCharge Deliver: The InCharge Deliver plug-in “delivers” the job to near line archive after performing necessary housekeeping duties such as deleting temporary files created during the job, running back up actions and sending final versions of files via email or FTP.
InCharge Admin: The InCharge Admin tool is designed to provide quick answers to typical administrator questions such as “How many jobs are open? Which jobs are ready for disk archive? Which jobs are ready to burn to CD/DVD? Does this customer have long-term storage requirements?
