SEATTLE, WA – Canopy LLC, a joint venture of PrimeSource and Xeikon has announced it is installing a turnkey Xeikon color digital press system at K/P Corporation's Silicon Valley Division in Milpitas, CA. With this printing system, K/P intends to complement its existing black and white on-demand business with color capabilities. The system includes a Xeikon DCP 50D eXpert Plus press, a Canopy Internet-enabled Print server, and the PDF ProofStreamer on-screen proofing system. Previously, K/P had subcontracted its on-demand color work. K/P's Silicon Valley Division typically works with high tech customers to create and deliver complete technical documentation packages and training materials throughout the world. For example, the company will print, assemble and ship, on demand, hardware, software and training kits for its customers on a daily basis. K/P also prints black and white direct mail post cards, publications and software documents.
