London, England and Jersey City, New Jersey May 14, 2007: The CGI Group, a leading provider of worldwide print and communications services, today announced that effective immediately, Michael R. Cunningham, Ph.D., assumes overall responsibility for all the businesses of The CGI Group as Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Cunningham will report to CGI’s board of directors, which is chaired by Peter Furlonge who previously held the role of Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Cunningham is the original founder and CEO of CGI’s predecessor, the once NASDAQ listed Cunningham Graphics International. Inc., a company that grew from a single location in 1989 to a multinational graphic communications corporation with 19 locations worldwide. The business was acquired by Automatic Data Processing’s Brokerage Services Unit in June of 2000 and was later purchased from ADP by a management team led by Peter Furlonge. Most recently, Dr. Cunningham was a Clinical Professor of Entrepreneurship at the San Diego State University College of Business Administration, where he taught international business strategy and business planning. He is also a Research Professor from Industry at Cal Poly’s graphic communications department and an Adjunct Associate Professor at New York University. Throughout his career, Dr. Cunningham has received numerous awards including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, the British American Chamber of Commerce Trans Atlantic Entrepreneurial award and the Association of Graphic Communication’s Power of Communications award. He served as Chair for New York University’s Graphic Communication, Management and Technology Center and is the curriculum committee Chair. He is the Chair of the Graphic Communications Advisory board at Kean University and is also the co-author of The Three Forces of Empowerment, A Guide to Career Growth. Dr. Cunningham earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts and his Master’s and Doctorate from New York University.
