Costa Mesa, CA – March 13, 2007 – Paradigm Imaging Group, a leading supplier of large-format scanning and printing solutions, introduced it’s newest addition to the EIS family of large format multi-function systems, the EIS Quatra. The EIS Quatra, addresses a new market segment of end users who require D & E size drawings scanned but usually print only D size documents. By combining a 36” scanner with a 24” printer at a price point starting at $7495.00 many potential users in the CAD, AEC & GIS industry will find a low cost solution to their copying and printing needs. The EIS Quatra includes: - A Graphtec JW220 24” color printer, - A Graphtec SK200 36” scanner, - Paradigm’s Rocket scanner and printer controller, - ImageFLOW LT scanning, printing and copying software and - One year on-site service in USA and Canada. An additional benefit of the system is the compact footprint. Measuring only 48” wide by 18” high and 24” deep it is small enough for desktop use. Each scanner model comes in three different configurations, M, C & E depending on the different scanning capabilities: - M – Monochrome only scanner - C – Monochrome and 0.75ips Color scanner - E – Monochrome and 3ips Color scanner Users can easily upgrade any of the scanner models simply by paying the price difference between model prices. There is no price penalty in making the change after the initial sale. This is the first multi-function copy system in the industry that lets you easily upgrade from a monochrome scanner to a color scanner with moderate color speed and finally to color scanner with fast color performance within the same machine. The high-performance Rocket controller houses a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 processor with 1GB DDR and 80 GB hard drive, and is custom designed for delivering the resources required to seamlessly manage large graphic files and other documents. The Rocket controller is pre-installed with ImageFLOW LT software, which provides the user-friendly interface and the overall system control. It is also integrated with a 17” LCD monitor and a compact 101 keyboard with touch pad, further enhancing the ergonomics of the system operation. The ImageFLOW LT software, preinstalled on the Rocket Controller, provides an easy-to-use interface and intuitive operation while maintaining the powerful and full-featured capabilities required for a broad range of projects. The large control buttons on its main control screen are designed to provide a feel and functionality similar to that of an office copier and is fully compatible with the touch-panel monitor included with the EIS Quatra. The JW220 printer is a 24” wide, four-color thermal inkjet printer. It contains two print heads, a dedicated black one with a nozzle configuration of 320x2 lines and a CMY print head with a nozzle configuration of 160x3. The Graphtec JW220 printer has a maintenance tool for cleaning inkjet heads, etc. The JW220 printer is connected to the Rocket controller via a USB 2 port. The Quatra system prints a D-size black and white copy in 100 seconds and a D-size color copy in 270 seconds. The Graphtec SK200 uses the latest CIS (Contact Image Sensor) technology with 42-bits of internal color capture (14-bit graytone) which parses the best 24-bit color (8bit graytone) to the Rocket controller for further processing. The scan line consist of five CIS sensors each approximately 8.5” wide to reach a 36” wide scanning capability. The ImageFLOW LT software is a all-in-one package that can scan, preview, print and copy images and is included with the Quatra solutions at no additional charge.
