AIIM Participates in Xplor's Document University in Miami Beach

Torrance, CA - December 14, 2006 - Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association today announced that AIIM, the international authority on Enterprise Content Management (ECM), will participate in the upcoming Xplor Document University, February 28-March 4, 2007 in conjunction with Graphics of Americas in Miami Beach, Florida. Presented for the first time to Xplor's membership and audience, AIIM will provide attendees with their Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Certificate Practitioner Program, designed from global best practices among their 60,000 members. The ECM Certificate Practitioner Program will cover the strategies, tools and technologies used to capture, store, manage, preserve and deliver information in support of business processes. "We are excited to have AIIM join Xplor's Document University in 2007 as we believe that there is synergy between our memberships, associations and educational missions," said Skip Henk, EDP, president and CEO of Xplor International. "AIIM will bring fresh thinking and relevant curricula to our conference, which will in turn augment our program." AIIM's ECM Certificate Practitioner Program will provide attendees with a framework that enables the management of information assets across an organization and ties in relevant components and technologies. This includes electronic document management, electronic records management, workflow, business process management, web content management, collaboration and digital asset management. The ECM Certificate Practitioner Program also provides for solid understanding of ECM technologies and components to manage information through its lifecycle. The course will cover technologies that help users capture, store, manage, preserve and/or deliver information in support of a business process. Thedra White, program manager of Global Education Services at AIIM will teach the two-day program. Thedra holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a marketing concentration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. AIIM's ECM Certificate Practitioner Program will take place Wednesday, February 28 from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM and Thursday, March 1 from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Attendees can receive the AIIM ECM Practitioner (ECMP) designation after passing an online exam. By earning this designation, attendees can use the associated logo and title on their business card, email signature and web site.
