ATLANTA, GA, December 7, 2006 - Advanced Vision Technology Ltd, the leading supplier of automatic inspection and quality assurance solutions for the printing, packaging and label converting industries, has announced the appointment of Bruno Carrer as Canadian Sales Manager for AVT's fast-growing label and packaging business throughout Canada. He is headquartered in Toronto and reports to Lance Shumaker, President of AVT Inc. "Our appointment of Bruno reflects the importance that AVT places on expanding and serving our customer base in Canada," Mr. Shumaker notes. "He has a long history of success in the Canadian graphics market and extensive experience in helping companies introduce advanced production technologies into their operations. Bruno is an important asset in our strategy to widen AVT's leadership in automatic inspection across Canada. He is well respected in the industry and we are very pleased to have him join us as the focal point for AVT's sales in Canada." Mr. Carrer joins AVT from Spicers Canada (formerly Cascades) where he was Segment Manager in marketing and sales for the company's packaging and flexographic software and hardware systems. Prior to Spicers, Mr. Carrer had been the Eastern Canada Sales Manager for Partner Graphics, directing the company's media and equipment sales in the region for 12 years. He began his business career as a Senior System Representative with Agfa Canada. He holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Seneca College and studied Economics at the University of Toronto.
