KODAK Enterprise Management Solution Software Demonstrates Bi-Directional JDF Support and Integration with Simulated MAN Roland Presses
Press release from the issuing company
CHICAGO, Oct. 17 -- A technical demonstration of bi-directional JDF support and integration between KODAK Enterprise Management Solution (EMS) software and MAN Roland printnet PressManager is being featured in Kodak’s booth (#400) at Graph Expo.
EMS software will be exporting live JDF files to MAN Roland printnet PressManager. The MAN Roland system converts the JDF information into a press job with all of the necessary data and specifications—such as quantity, form, size and colors—to print and finish the job.
“Bidirectional JDF support and integration with the MAN Roland printnet PressManager marks another important milestone in demonstrating EMS software’s ability to fully integrate business systems and the production environment,” said Bob Kutschke, General Manager, Business Workflow, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group.
EMS software is a complete modular and scalable business workflow solution for the graphic communications industry. As an MIS solution, it combines the strength of a leading ERP solution with sophisticated print focused capabilities to reduce operational and sales acquisition costs; link CRM across core business applications; optimize manufacturing processes; and proactively monitor business performance and quality. It integrates customers, production and suppliers with other KODAK Unified Workflow solutions.
The base modules of KODAK EMS software address core business operations needs such as sales force automation; quoting and estimating; job management; purchasing; production planning and scheduling; and financial capabilities. EMS is currently in beta and will be available during the second half of 2007.
