Press release from the issuing company

Oct 12, 2006 -- Westmont, Illinois — MAN Roland press users in North America can now go directly to one of the world's top reconditioning facilities for press cylinders — St. Louis Metallizing Company. Expanding the benefits of its printservices coverage, MAN Roland Inc. recently certified St. Louis Metallizing as its primary cylinder reconditioner for sheetfed and web offset presses. St. Louis Metallizing utilizes a state-of-the-art thermal spray coating process for cylinder surfacing. “MAN Roland presses last a lifetime, so cylinder reconditioning is an important long-term maintenance consideration,” says Kevin Crawley, Development Manager for MAN Roland Inc.'s printservices. “That's why we chose an industry leader as our service partner to complete this crucial task. Now our customers can send their cylinders directly to St. Louis Metallizing without the need for a service call or referral. That will save them time and money.” Under the agreement, St. Louis Metallizing will be the only reconditioning facility with complete access to MAN Roland specifications and proprietary manufacturing information. “That means our customers can count on precision, factory tolerances and performance whenever their cylinders require reconditioning,” Crawley adds. St. Louis Metallizing has been reconditioning press cylinders for over fifty years. The company combines the talents of an expert staff with the latest thermal spray metallizing techniques. Additionally, CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) grinding and machining capabilities ensure the dimensional integrity and operational stability of every refurbished cylinder.
