September 14, 2006, Marlborough, MA - Three independent printing firms in Massachusetts are being combined into one dynamic new entity: Synergy Graphic Solutions. Doug Pendleton, president of Pendleton Printers in Gardner, MA, has recently acquired both Reservoir Printing of Marlborough and Apex Press of Westborough. The new company synergizes the complementary capabilities and staffs of all three firms. Synergy Graphic Solutions offers customers a much broader range of products and services, bundled with smart, dedicated people. "In the past few years," noted Pendleton, "we’ve realized the tremendous opportunity for building a powerhouse of capabilities through strategic acquisitions." The new company will be located in the epicenter of the economically rich area of Metrowest Boston in the Marlborough facility that housed Reservoir Printing. Both Pendleton Printers and Apex Press will be moving their operations to Marlborough. Nearly all of the employees from the three firms have been retained. With the combined equipment and staff from the three firms, Synergy offers its customers a much broader range of products and services, including digital color printing, high-speed digital B/W printing, offset printing, variable data, wide-format printing, graphic design, full bindery/finishing, and warehousing and fulfillment. In preparation for launching the new firm, Doug Pendleton is undertaking a thorough customer care program. Informing all customers of the forthcoming changes is a priority, and it is representative of the philosophy with which Synergy plans to guide itself: customers come first.
